It is a lazy stay-at-home Sunday night, and my brain just
refuse to do any work so tadah I am here blogging. And today I have decided to
do a review on the 2 brands of tea tree oil that I have tried recently.
so all along from my teen years I have been suffering from
severe break-outs and horrible acne problem, I even went to the dermatologist
and ate a period of med, the super severe acne is gone but I guess I still
could not escape the fate of hormonal acne T.T it’s like cluster of blemishes
will all come out together and protest during a specific time of the month,
normally its right before my menses lol and being fair, they are so freaking
obvious. I have tried many acne creams and it doesn’t really work so I have
decided to try something natural.
I still remembered I was reading CLEO and chanced upon an advertisement
on the tea tree oil from The Body Shop, they were having offer for it! 2 for
$29.90 I think lol so I decided to give it a try!
Tea tree oil has always been credited for its effect on
reducing scars, break-outs and inflammation. Think there are more but these are
the few that I am concerned with haha
So one tiny body of it only contains 10 ml: / it’s quite
little and guess what, I finished using it in a week! I just spammed and I think
due to the large surface area of my face.
That’s my face, both left and right, before using the oil. Erm
the first time I applied the oil on my face, it caused some tickling sensation
with a bit of pain. That only occurred for the first few days, subsequent this
feeling was gone. So I used it faithfully both days and night after cleansing
my face and applied my toner and after one bottle (a week) my skin got abit
better.
That’s
my face after one week of usage, as u can see the condition on my left face is
significantly better, with less visible acne and less inflammation. As for the right,
erm I guessed it improved a little bit? Like it clearer. So I continued using
for another 3 weeks or so, thinking that my acne problem has long left mi but I
was so wrong, it came back to haunt me the same time the nxt month. Yes, sadly.
And look at it! This time round is so much worse!
*nightmare* so just on time I was introduced to another brand of tea tree oil,
named Thursday Plantation, got mine at guardian for $19.75 for 25 ml. It’s
cheaper than the body shop one?
Had been using for the past 3 weeks and here’s my face.
Seen the significant improvement? I guess I will continue
using this product! The reason why the body shop one didn’t work out for me guesses
it’s due to the concentration of the tea tree oil in the solution? The body
shop one only contained 15 % while the Thursday plantation one 100%, thinks my
skin is too think and hence need a stronger tea tree oil -. - but one thing I really like about the body shop
tea tree oil is the texture of it, I don’t really like my face to be too oily
after applying facial products but despite it being named oil it texture is
just like our tonner texture so u won’t feel any discomfort wearing it while u
sleep or in the morning. As for the Thursday plantation, it is significantly oilier
than the body shop one due to its concentration but surprising it’s within my
acceptable range!
Also, the Thursday plantation on dries huge zit real fast, I
was having one super huge and painful pimple right below my chin and after 2
days of spamming with it, it subsided and I managed to pull out 1 whole piece
on my skin from my pimple, that’s not freaky, just showing how powerful the oil
its O.O and it heals cuts real fast too!
My scumbag bunny scratched me T.T
After one week of usage!
So this is just a rough review on the 2 products, u can try
it out on ur own: 0 hope u find this useful J
Did you used Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil for whole of your cheeks? or use cotton wool to apply on break out parts? Used it after toner right and can apply other skin care product after using this oil?
